Blibli Launches the Tree Planting Mission Feature with Jejakin

Jakarta, February 7, 2025 – Committed to encouraging more Indonesians to care for the environment, Blibli.com has launched the Tree Planting Mission Feature under the Blibli Tiket Action sustainability program. This initiative is in collaboration with Jejakin, a certified B Corp™ climate tech company specializing in climate change mitigation and adaptation solutions. The feature allows customers to contribute directly to tree-planting efforts by donating IDR 1,000 per transaction on the Blibli platform.

The collected funds will be used by Jejakin to plant mangrove trees in Cilacap, supporting Indonesia’s Ministry of Environment’s World Environment Day 2025 theme, "Creating a Sustainable Earth." This initiative also aligns with Indonesia’s Enhanced Nationally Determined Contribution (ENDC) target, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 32% by 2030.

The Tree Planting Mission feature on the checkout page makes it easier for customers to contribute to tree planting while shopping. Previously, Blibli consistently introduced #CintaBumi initiatives, such as the Take-Back Packaging program, where every 10 used cardboard packages were converted into one tree seedling. Beyond that, the Trade In Trees Out program allows customers who purchase products with the Trade-In feature to also contribute to tree planting. Customers who wish to contribute directly can also purchase tree planting vouchers on Blibli. Through these various initiatives, Blibli Tiket Action, together with customers and partners, successfully planted up to 15,000 tree seedlings by the end of 2024.
